The fastest way to get help is to open a GitHub issue on our public tracker. Your report is visible to everyone, which means other users can chime in with context and see when the fix ships.

You can also browse previously reported issues — your question may already have an answer.

Before you write

A few details speed things up. Please include:

• Contour version. Menu bar → Contour → About Contour.
• macOS version. Apple menu → About This Mac.
• Mac model. Apple Silicon generation (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4) and unified memory size.
• Model variant. Which SAM build is loaded (SAM 3, 3.1, int8, mxfp4, etc.).
• Steps to reproduce. What you did, what you expected, what happened instead.
• Screenshots or a short screen recording if the issue is visual.

System requirements

• macOS 14 Sonoma or later
• Apple Silicon (M1 or later) — Intel Macs are not supported
• 8 GB unified memory for quantized SAM 3; 16 GB+ recommended for full-precision SAM 3.1
• ~1.7 GB of free disk space for the base model, plus extra per additional variant
